BeyondCron makes it easy to insert dates into jobs. Not only can dates be formatted to meet any requirement, they can also be adjusted forwards or backwards.

Yesterdays rates

To download yesterdays rates from Open Exchange Rates, simply set up a job which subtracts a day from the date before formatting it to suit the Open Exchange Rates historical API.

When triggered, the following URL will be called.
